Checking Certified Mail With An Oregon Workers' Compensation Claim

In many cases, the Oregon Workers' Compensation rules require that important notices be sent both by regular and certified mail. On more than one occasion, we have had potential clients meet with us, only to discover that they missed in important deadline because a certified mailing was left at the post office for an extended period of time.

Although many of these notices must also be sent by regular mail, it is important to pick up any certified mailings so that you are sure not to miss an important deadline to appeal a claim decision. Sometimes, regular mailings do not happen, and it is difficult to argue you didn't receive something in the mail.

If you have a question regarding an important notice from your Oregon workers compensation carrier, call us at 503-325-8600. We deal with these issues every day.
